Custom PPE Selection

A “root causes” of workplace injuries, illnesses, and incidents is the failure to identify or recognize hazards that are present, or that could have been anticipated. A critical element of any effective safety and health program is a proactive, ongoing process to identify and assess such hazards.

OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) requires all employers to make a formal assessment and equipment selection in writing. OSHA further requires this assessment to be certified by the person performing the assessment.

Pointman can assist in this process to not only achieve compliance with federal OSHA but capitalize on the time spent performing this assessment.  Onsite consultations are included in our process to fully identify hazards and recommend the most protective equipment.

Each year OSHA names the Top 10 most cited violations. Fiscal year 2017includes Personal Protective Equipment at number 10. More specifically eye and face protection in construction.
